Our
Commitment
to Helping Others
Each year the Alexandria Singers “adopt”
an organization and coordinate a drive to collect
supplies at their concerts for that special group.
This season, the Singers are collecting supplies for the Alexandria Community Shelter. Operated by the Salvation Army on behalf of the City of Alexandria, this 65 bed facility provides shelter, food and case management to the men women and children who are residents. Computer skills training is available as well as several very active programs providing legal assistance, public health guidance, and housing assistance.
The Singers are proud to support the Shelter's mission by collecting clothing, toiletries and other necessities, as well as toys for the kids during "Singers in Toyland", our 2007 Holiday Pops Concert to be performed at Bishop Ireton High School on December 16th at 3pm. You may leave your cheerfully wrapped packages in the clearly marked box in the lobby. Please designate each package with a "M", "W", or "C" along with an age for any child's gift. We thank you for sharing the Holiday Spirit!
